Neurology Specialist

Dr David Lee has a special interest in epilepsy, headaches, and neuromuscular conditions, as well as general neurology. As well as being a highly qualified neurologist, his calm and compassionate approach is well regarded by patients and colleagues. Dr David Lee holds an academic appointment as a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland.

Epilepsy

He completed his Epilepsy Fellowship at the Advanced Epilepsy Unit in Mater Hospital Brisbane from 2020-2021, and currently has a public epilepsy clinic at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He is ANZAN Level 3 certified (highest level) in EEG reading and reads EEGs at Brisbane Neurology, and publicly at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Mater Hospital Brisbane.

Migraine/Headaches

He is experienced in diagnosing migraine mimics as well as the management of complex headache disorders. This includes advanced treatments such as Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections and Eptinezumab (Vyepti) infusions (at Northwest and Greenslopes Private Hospital infusion units with public and private options available).

Neuromuscular

He has undertaken additional training at Gold Coast Hospital and is an ANZAN certified Level 2 EMG supervisor, with experience in diverse neuromuscular conditions. He incorporates Neuromuscular Ultrasound into his scope of practice.

Dr David Lee

Dr David Lee has special interest in epilepsy, headaches, neuromuscular, as well as general neurology.

Dr David Lee also has interest in Botox injections for cervical dystonia, hemifacial spasms, limb spasticity, hypersalivation.

He shares his on-call duties at Princess Alexandra Hospital for acute stroke and other acute neurological issues. He also provides consulting service at Mater and Greenslopes Private Hospitals.

He is also a member of the following socities: ANZHS (Australia and New Zealand Headache Society), AES (American Epilepsy Society), AANEM (American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine), and AAN (American Academy of Neurologist).

Dr David Lee also has academic appointment as senior lecturer with University of Queensland.
